Choosing a classic padded dog bed
Raised sides
Raised sides give a dog something to lean on and a sense of shelter. Deep sides, as on the 27cm bed, add support, and a lowered front, as on the oval, gives easy access.
Fabric and look
Cord, check and linen-look fabrics are chosen as much for the room as for the dog. Each care guide explains how to keep the fabric fresh.
Size
Measure your dog curled up and choose a bed with room to spare. The listed size is the outside, so allow for the sides.
Washing
Most of these have covers or can be machine washed at a low temperature. Check the care label.
